It would be impossible to speak about life on earth without mentioning the sun. Every iota of matter and energy on earth came from the sun and its precursors. For the same reason, it would be impossible to speak about spiritual laws without mentioning God! God bears the same relationship to the spiritual world as the sun bears to life on earth. God supplies all the energy that spirits must have in order to exist and operate just as our sun supplies the energy that we need to live.
The law of divine love
I speak frequently about the divine light that flows down from God and the celestial heavens. When I speak of divine light, I am talking about numerous qualities that flow from God’s consciousness. They include the Kabbalistic qualities of understanding, wisdom, mercy and knowledge, as well as numerous other qualities that we have no hope of understanding while we live within our three-dimensional universe. The most important of God’s qualities for human souls, however, is love.
People tend to equate love with sex. In spiritual terms, sex has little to do with love. Sex and all its emotional components are only a part of instinctual human nature. Sex is important to living persons for drawing individuals together for the purpose of procreation.
However, sex does have a major spiritual purpose. In drawing two souls together, it allows real spiritual love to develop between them. Their children then become enmeshed in the love that surrounds the entire family.
The entire structure of the heavenly spheres is based on spiritual love, and the status of any soul, living or in Spirit is dependent upon the degree to which that soul contains, understands and manages love.
God is like an ocean of love, and we are like little rivulets that must flow over very rough terrain until we reach that ocean. During our journey, we encounter obstacles of all kinds; boulders, deep ruts and chasms, and even subterranean lakes and streams. We may find ourselves hung up behind and within these obstacles, but ultimately, we ALL wend our way back to the ocean. We get our start on that journey as living human beings, but that journey continues in the world of spirit, and though it may take eons, we all eventually flow into, and become part of the ocean of God’s light.
