The most salient thing you can say about artificial intelligence is that is artificial. While your soul resides in a fragile body, artificial intelligence resides in a computer network. No matter how intelligent the system may seem, neither the programming nor the computer it runs on has any form of real consciousness or self-perception. It cannot feel love or grieve for a loved one. When the power goes out, the network dies. For all of its lightning speed and artful programming to make it seem human, when the computer dies, the artificial intelligence dies with it!! When YOU die, your intelligence stays intact because your soul is immortal. It thrives in a spiritual realm beyond description.
You might have noticed that in the above description of the soul, I mentioned the soul is much larger than your mind. In fact, only a portion of the human soul can be accommodated in your material brain. The soul is a spiritual entity, and as such, it does not really reside in the human body. It resides in the spiritual dimensions where God and the souls of your dead relatives live. While this may defy your everyday observations, physicists have now concluded that our reality would not exist unless there were living consciousnesses to observe it. The soul communicates with your brain in the same way that the technicians at NASA communicate with the Mars landers (there are, so far, 21 of them roving the planet’s surface.) They do this through a process called telemetry. Telemetry is the term used for the transmission of data from a remote location (the spiritual realm where the soul lives) to a central point (your brain).
Note: The science behind the existence of alternate realities is complex, and is based on what has been discovered within the world of quantum mechanics. Scientists who have a deep understanding of this subject now almost universally say that our everyday reality, including what we understand as space. time, and possibly even gravity, are “emergent” phenomenona. In other words, reality “emerges” from the combined quantum effects of literally every quantum particle in the universe.
Every “particle” in the universe is connected to every other “particle” regardless of the distance between them through the phenomenon of “quantum entanglement”. Unobserved “particles” do not exist as such. Every electron exists as a “ripple” in a universal electron field. The same goes for protons, Neutrons, positrons, Neutrinos etc. all of which have their own universal fields. Every material object in the universe is really composed of nothing more than an entangled myriad of “fields”. It is the interactions of these fields with each other that gives material objects (including your own body and brain) the illusion of solidity.
The reality we see exists only in our minds. YOUR reality is like what you see on your computer screen when playing a video game. You never see the electronic magic that creates these images inside the computer. If the screen you are looking at breaks and goes dark, YOUR game ends even though the computer is still playing within its electrical wiring! If there is no living consciousness to observe our reality, our reality does not exist, even though the hidden quantum universe carries on, out of sight, and with no beginning or, most importantly, no ending. The communication between the soul and the body is a two-way affair, and operates without time constraints. Let’s say that you encounter a situation in which you must make an immediate decision. Your brain perceives what you see and hear. It then instantaneously communicates its perceptions to your soul. Your soul then instantaneously communicates with your mind and suggests appropriate actions for you to take. Your brain (mind) can comprehend only part of the soul’s “transmission”, but what you can comprehend is adequate to allow you to act appropriately.
As you can see, the soul does NOT reside in the body. This is the reason that when your body dies, an infinitely expanded version of your mind (contained within your soul) continues to exist (quite literally forever) after you die.
Your intelligence is a great deal wider than you can perceive. The brain is inadequate to contain it all. However, no matter how limited your personal intelligence may be, rest assured that its expanded version still exists embodied in your soul, and when you die, the soul continues on. The same cannot be said about machine intelligence.
